The Governing Council of the Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) has announced the appointment of Mr. Joseph Amartey, Executive Director of the Tourism Society of Ghana and Tourism Youth Ambassador, as the National Secretary of the Federation.

Mr. Amartey’s appointment marks a significant milestone in the Federation’s mission to unify and advance Ghana’s tourism industry. With his extensive background in tourism development, youth advocacy, and organizational leadership, he is expected to bring renewed energy and strategic direction to the Federation’s national agenda.

As Executive Director of the Tourism Society of Ghana, Mr. Amartey has championed collaboration among stakeholders and promoted sustainable tourism practices. His role as Tourism Youth Ambassador has further highlighted his commitment to empowering young people to see tourism as a pathway to innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural pride.

The Governing Council emphasized that Mr. Amartey’s appointment reflects both his dedication and proven track record in the sector. “We are confident that Mr. Amartey will strengthen the Federation’s operations, enhance stakeholder engagement, and ensure that tourism continues to play a vital role in Ghana’s socio-economic development,” the Council noted.

In his new role as National Secretary, Mr. Amartey will:
